Provisional and Urgent Measures
When waiting for the judgment means losing a right or an asset, we request urgent measures: summary proceedings, interim measures and protective attachments.
Immediate protection
Acting before the damage is irreversible
Some situations cannot wait until the end of a case: the risk that a debtor becomes insolvent, the occupation of a property or an action that causes imminent harm.
We immediately assess the available measures and request them from the competent court to protect your rights while the merits of the case are decided.
What is included
- Summary proceedings (référé).
- Provisional and protective measures.
- Protective attachments to secure a claim.
- Stay of enforcement and of actions that cause imminent harm.

Provisional and Urgent Measures
Common Questions
They are a fast-track procedure in which the judge orders provisional measures in urgent cases or to stop a manifestly unlawful disturbance, without yet deciding the merits of the case.
It depends on the type of measure and the court, so a general timeline cannot be given. These procedures are designed to act quickly, and we tell you the expected timing when we review your case.
Not definitively: it protects your rights while the merits are decided. That is why we coordinate it with the strategy of the main case.
