Last updated: October 2, 2026
Alba Araúz | Estudio Jurídico | Attorneys at Law (the “Firm”) respects the privacy of visitors to albaarauzlaw.com. This policy explains what personal data we receive through the site, how we use it and what rights you have, in accordance with Dominican Republic Law No. 172-13 on the Protection of Personal Data.
In short: this site only collects the data of people who complete its forms (the contact form and the “Schedule a call” form). That information is used solely to call you back or reply to your email, and it is never sold or provided to third parties.

2. Data we receive
We only process the data you voluntarily provide in our forms:
- Full name.
- Company or organization (optional).
- Email address and phone number.
- Area of interest and summary of your inquiry (contact form).
- Preferred date and time for the call (“Schedule a call” form).
Please do not include especially sensitive information or confidential documents in the form. If your matter requires it, we will indicate an appropriate channel for sharing them.
In addition, the server temporarily records the IP address from which the form is submitted, for the sole purpose of preventing automated or abusive submissions.
3. Purpose
Form data is used solely to contact you about your inquiry: to call you back or reply to your email. When you submit the form you will also receive an automatic email confirming that we received your request.
We do not use your data to send advertising or for any other purpose.
4. Legal basis
Processing is based on your consent, which you give by submitting the form, and on taking steps prior to the possible engagement of legal services.
5. Confidentiality and attorney-client relationship
The Firm treats the information it receives with discretion. However, submitting an inquiry through the site does not by itself create an attorney-client relationship; that relationship is only established through an express engagement agreement.
6. Retention
We keep the data for as long as necessary to handle your request and, where applicable, for the periods required by applicable legal and professional obligations. Technical anti-spam records are deleted periodically.
7. No disclosure to third parties
The Firm does not sell, transfer or provide your data to third parties. The information is only stored on the web hosting and email services the Firm uses to operate, and it could only be disclosed when required by law or by a competent authority.
8. Your rights
You may request access to, correction, updating or deletion of your data, and you may withdraw your consent, by writing to [email protected] or through our contact form. We will respond to your request within the time limits set by law.
9. Security
We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information against unauthorized access, loss or alteration. No internet transmission system is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
10. Third-party services
The contact page includes a Google Maps map. When it loads, Google may receive technical data from your browser in accordance with its own policies. See our Cookie Policy for more information.
The site’s WhatsApp button does not store any data: when you tap it, WhatsApp opens and the conversation continues in that application, subject to its own terms.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect legal changes or changes in how the site works. The current version will always be published on this page with its update date.
In case of any discrepancy between this translation and the Spanish version, the Spanish version shall prevail.
